The International Far Eastern Maritime Show is of great significance for developing the shipbuilding cluster and related sectors in the Russian Far East. The choice of Vladivostok as the event's venue opens up extensive opportunities for establishing cooperation and integration with partners in the Asia-Pacific region that exhibit great interest in the Russian shipbuilding industry's latest products and in technologies for exploring the World Ocean and the Arctic. I am confident that the Maritime Salon will be held at a high standard. We will be glad to welcome in Vladivostok guests from various Russian regions, as well as our foreign friends and partners.

There is a significant and fast-growing shipbuilding cluster in Primorsky krai, and the Zvezda, the largest civil shipyard in Russia, is to become the core of this cluster. Local shipbuilders aim to produce high quality and competitive products.
